We are each called to serve in different ways, using the gifts that God has given us.
There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit. – 1 Corinthians 12.4

Jamie Wunder
Director of Music
Jamie is a graduate of West Chester University with a BS in Music Education. She served as a director of music at Advent Lutheran Church, Richboro for nearly 10 years before coming to Advent and has also taught music in the Catholic School system, in a local studio, and privately. A daughter of a Lutheran Pastor, she has experience leading musical performances, praise teams, bell choirs, adult choirs, and children's choirs. Her husband, Erick, is a music teacher in the Garnet Valley School District and their two elementary-age children are also developing an ear for music. Music and faith are an important part of Jamie and her family's lives. "Don't Hide Your Light! Let It Shine For All; Let Your Good Deeds Glow For All To See So That They Will Praise Your Heavenly Father." - Matthew 5: 15,16 -
Alexandra Cardon
Pre-School Director
I have lived in West Chester since attending WCU, where I met my now husband Tony. We have a 9 year old daughter and a 5 year old son, who attend Glen Acres Elementary School and Fern Hill Elementary School. I became involved with the preschool when my daughter, Belle, attended in 2014. Throughout the years, I have been a volunteer, teacher, and board member. As a member of Advent Lutheran Church, I also teach Sunday School. My favorite moments in the preschool have always focused around community outreach, including Movie Nights and our annual fundraisers. In my spare time, I am involved in the Glen Acres PTO and love to learn new crafts and cook. -
Doug Kline
Organist
Despite working in healthcare for almost 40 years, music has always been a major part of my life since I began studying organ at the age of 8. I have been a long-time member of Advent and have enjoyed accompanying the choirs and working with other musicians over the years. It is a pleasure to serve as Advent's organist. -
Janey Wolff
Sunday School Superintendent
I have run VBS at Advent since summer 2014. I really enjoy organizing events for Sunday school-age children, and when the opportunity arose to expand my role in the Church as Sunday school Superintendent I was happy to accept the position. I am married to Dave Wolff, and we have two girls, Teagan (6th grade) and Bracken (2nd grade) - who happily provide input and help organize Sunday School events. It is wonderful to have a role with Christian education where I watch my own children, and many other children, learn more about God's love through Jesus.

Advent's Mutual Ministry Committee exists to support the relationships between and among church staff and laity as co-workers in Advent's mission to worship, invite, nurture and serve. Serving on a voluntary basis, with church council approval, on open ended terms, the committee addresses concerns and opportunities. The church council president is an ex officio member along with the pastor and 4 to 5 lay members. The committee meets 3 to 4 times per year and/or as the need arises, providing a venue for church members and staff to seek/receive confidential advice, guidance and support. The committee is also available to meditate/deescalate conflict.
