Afternoon Enrichment Activities

Full day students participate in a different enrichment activity each day, including Art, Science, Spanish, Little Engineers and Gym. Half day students can "drop in" for a session, which is typically 6-8 weeks long.

Budding Artists

Students learn the fundamentals of art—color, shape, lines---by painting, drawing, making banners, cards, collages, and more.

Music

Music is lead by Mrs. Wunder and combines movement, singing, and rhythm fundamentals in a variety of activities.

Library

Our full day students visit the library daily to listen to a story and develop pre-literacy skills. Using a variety of developmentally appropriate books and activities we explore storytelling.

Spanish Explorers

Taught by a native speaker, Spanish enrichment class introduces children to colors, numbers, parts of the body and basic phrases. Children will sing songs and play games in Spanish, including “Red, Light, Green Light” and BINGO. 

STEM

Children work together to build and problem solve using a variety of materials, such as wooden blocks, Legos, Lincoln Logs and more. For example, students have built bridges using construction paper and paper cups. They have designed Duplo dinosaurs, created marshmallow/toothpick constellations, developed a cookie sheet maze of Magnatiles, and made trees with popsicle sticks and Play-Doh. 

Fun & Fitness

Students develop better motor skills and thinking skills as they play games and sports. They are introduced to the basics of soccer, basketball, dodgeball and more.
