Prayer

First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for everyone...and what you have heard from me through many witnesses entrust to faithful people who will be able to teach others as well.
— 1 Timothy 2:1 & 2 Timothy 2:2

Prayer Chain People
Jesus says, “Ask, and it will be given you; search, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives, and everyone who searches finds, and for everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.
— Matthew 7:7-8

The Advent Prayer Team provides a spiritual alarm system for prayers of an urgent nature. A network of people pray on behalf of the congregation, mindful of Jesus’ words to "ask and you will receive, seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened," (Matthew 7:7). The prayer team enables faithful intercession on behalf of others in need, by lifting up specific requests, concerns and emergency situations.

Prayers are communicated and sent out via e-mail and/or text under the caring direction of Lynn Sorrell. To request prayers or to join Advent's E-Mail Prayer Team, email Lynn Sorrell at adventlutheranwc@gmail.com. Please provide your full name, e-mail address, and phone number for texts. ALWAYS RECEIVE PERMISSION FROM THE PERSON YOU ARE LIFTING UP IN PRAYER, INCLUDING PERMISSION TO SHARE THE SPECIFIC NEED.

To make use of the prayer list, when time is not of the essence, fill out the form below or email the church office at Adventlutheranwc@gmail.com. This list is updated weekly and shared with the congregation. Names are removed after two to four weeks unless a new request is made.

Prayer requests can include intercession for those who are experiencing a need or hardship. Prayers of thanksgiving, including those for answered prayers, may also be shared. It is our great privilege and honor to be in prayer for each other. We pray that God will use our prayers to comfort those in need and strengthen our faith
